Have you ever spent a long day walking around a large exhausting city such as London and wished, early afternoon, you could have a quick kip and some time to yourself, to refresh, before heading out for the evening?

Step up Dayuse, which is a website and app designed to enable you to find and book a hotel room for the day. Most rooms are available from as early as 10am and most enable you to stay before checking out at 5pm or early evening.
We searched Shoreditch, one of the areas we tend to stay and, more recently, used as a base for business meetings. We were surprised how many hotels were offering the facility to book day use. The Hoxton, one of our favourite hotels, was offering a top room usually costing £259 night for only £109 if used during the day. The Town Hall in Bethnal Green, another hotel we’ve stayed at numerous times, was offering two bookable periods, from 11am through 5pm or 3pm through 11pm, which is perfect if you’ve been traipsing around London all day and need some time out before heading home.
Head to the Dayuse website and check if your favourite hotel will enable you to book day use and take the stress out of a city visit with a “daycation”.
